Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Review

Now, like any true fan, I watched all three of the original movies before going to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. You always have the thought in the back of your head that Lucas is going to screw it up. I mean, we all remember the Star Wars prequels. Not to mention the cartoon series that are coming.
Fortunately for him, I think he did a good job with the Indiana Jones movie. It has the feel of the original movies with an older Indiana Jones. Don’t think that because Indy is old that he can’t fight anymore. You still have all the butt kicking action from the original movies.
I do feel that they slowed the movie down a bit to introduce Shia Lebouff’s character Mutt. After that, it all goes back to classic Indy action. The story line for Crystal Skull matches those of the older movies. Nazi’s want to use a major power for evil and Indiana Jones has to stop them. Not much has changed there.
While I was dubious of the addition of Mutt to the movie, they gave Shia just enough screen time to make him a major player, but didn’t take the focus off of Ford. I mean, there is only one Indiana Jones. The screen chemistry of the whole cast worked very well for the movie.
All in all, I have to say that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is completely worth watching! Whether you are a long time fan, or this is your first time, I’m sure you will enjoy this movie! This is one of those movies you want to watch on the big screen. Take advantage of this Memorial Day weekend to go see a great movie with those you love.
